Qualified Social Worker
Children with Disabilities
Location: Merseyside
Pay rate: £36 per hour
We are looking for experienced and passionate Qualified Social Workers to join a dedicated children with disabilities team. As part of this team, you will handle a mix of Children in Need, Child Protection, and Proceedings cases. You should have a passion for making a difference in children’s lives. This role offers flexible working arrangements—once you complete your visits and statutory requirements, you have control over your own diary.
Working in accordance with social care legislation and local government requirements, guided by the values and principles of social care, you will support the delivery of person-centred, safe, and effective social care services. Using your professional knowledge and experience, you will make assessments and decisions about the most appropriate interventions. Your excellent communication skills and significant social work experience will enable you to establish and maintain relationships with service users and other agencies to meet identified needs.

Ideal candidate will be:
* Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England.
* Experienced in working with children and families, including vulnerable groups.
* Creative, flexible, and forward-thinking in approach.
* Keen knowledge of Child Protection legislation and understanding of child protection issues.
* Dedicated to continuous improvement to achieve the best outcomes for children.
* Skilled in mediation and negotiation on behalf of service users.
* Excellent at building meaningful relationships with children and families to engage them in assessments and plans.
* Committed to providing high-quality services to users.
* Experienced in working within a multi-disciplinary, interagency environment.
* 4+ years qualified.
In this role, you will:
* Utilize your skills, knowledge, and experience to fully assess risks, protection, and social care needs.
* Manage an agreed caseload.
* Employ specialist communication skills to achieve optimal outcomes for service users.
* Develop individual care plans considering diversity, dignity, and empowerment.
* Provide advice and support to unqualified staff and students to facilitate development.
