Job summary
We are currently looking for an Estates Maintenance Worker(Specialist) to join our team on a full time basis.
The purpose of this role is as follows:
1. Deliver high-quality electrical trade services andmaintenance solutions across Trust sites.
2. Embrace challenging and diverse tasks while prioritizingsafety and compliance.
3. Drive the successful management and execution of engineeringand building maintenance programs.
4. Guarantee adherence to essential legislative and performancestandards, including NHSLA guidelines.
Main duties of the job
5. Champion compliance with HTMs, HBNs, British Standards,Model Specifications, and all regulatory requirements. Proactively identify andpropose improvements within your area to the Mechanical Team Leader.
6. Prioritise critical facilities impacting patient experience(, nurse call systems, patient washrooms, and beds). Adapt to changingworkloads and deliver timely solutions.
7. Collaborate on developing, implementing, and reviewing theTrust's Estates plans. Partner with other Estates Managers and Team Leaders tocreate effective work programs.
8. Contribute to establishing and maintaining safe systems ofwork (, Permit to Work, isolation procedures) under the guidance of APs.Ensure adherence to safety protocols.
9. Plan maintenance work, coordinate with users, and managecontractors.
10. Supervise maintenance assistants and contractors, assigntasks, prioritise work, and guarantee quality standards.
11. Respond to emergency calls and service complaints from theEstates Helpdesk.
12. Exercise initiative and consult senior staff on technicalissues arising from on-call duties.

13. Approved Codes of Practice and current regulations in relation to own discipline

15. Apprentice trained tradesperson with either ONC/BTEC (City & Guilds or NVQ level 3 will be considered)
16. Applicants with appropriate trade qualifications that can demonstrate that they have worked in a similar multi-skilled post for at least 3 years may be considered.

17. HNC Equivalent in building or relevant engineering building services.
