This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced solicitor, with 10 years of experience in private client law, who is seeking a long-term career move with the potential to progress to Partner status. You will be part of a collaborative and client-focused team, managing a diverse range of private client matters while also contributing to business development and growth initiatives. Key Responsibilities: Client Portfolio Development : Utilize marketing skills, social media, and networking opportunities to grow the client base. Client Work : Create documentation for clients regarding wills, living wills, probate applications, Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPAs), trust creation and management, and administration of estates. Court of Protection : Handle Court of Protection cases, ensuring the best outcome for vulnerable clients. Client Meetings : Conduct meetings, provide advice, and create comprehensive notes to document proceedings and decisions. Inheritance Tax Planning : Develop proposals to maximize entitlements under HMRC inheritance rules. Case & File Management : Ensure effective management of client files, compliance with policies, and risk management procedures. New Enquiries : Handle new enquiries professionally and ensure they are managed efficiently. Team Development : Support and mentor other team members, contributing to their development and learning. Marketing & Business Development : Participate in marketing initiatives, including webinars, podcasts, and legal clinics. Represent the firm at charity and networking events. Compliance & CPD : Ensure adherence to compliance policies and participate in Continuous Professional Development (CPD) activities. We Are Looking for Someone Who Has: Experience : 10 years of experience working in Private Client law, with a strong desire to progress to Partner status. Client Focus : Demonstrated ability to support the needs of vulnerable clients and provide high-quality, empathetic service. Communication Skills : Strong written and verbal communication skills, capable of interacting effectively with a diverse client base. Personal Pride : Commitment to delivering work of the highest quality and professionalism. Compliance Knowledge : Understanding of the Lexcel standards and requirements. IT Skills : Proficiency in using case management systems, MS Word, Outlook, and Excel. Adaptability : Self-motivated with a positive "can-do" attitude, able to adapt to changes and perform to targets. Team Spirit : Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively within a team environment. Organisational Skills : Strong file and time management skills, ensuring cases are handled efficiently.
