Job Title: Junior Legal Counsel
Base: InstaVolt Head Office – Hybrid working after probation period
Salary: £45,000 – £50,000 depending on experience + 10% discretionary annual bonus
To support our growth, we are looking to recruit a Junior Legal Counsel with a great work ethic and the ability to work under their own initiative, to support our in-house legal team.
This is a great opportunity to get involved with one of the fastest growing companies in an industry that is set to see huge growth over the coming years, whether that would be making a move from private practice or working in-house previously.
Role Overview:
The role will include, but is not limited to, the following tasks:
* Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating leases with the client’s solicitor
* Carrying out title review and circulating this to the internal teams together with raising any necessary title enquiries with the Landlord’s solicitor
* Supporting the development of standard legal documents and templates
* Drafting and issuing Exclusivity Agreements
* Working closely with external solicitors and internal teams to ensure processes are followed throughout the lifetime of the project
* Conducting searches
* Handling HMLR Applications
* Reviewing Contracts (including HoTs, AFL, and general commercial contracts)
* Exhibiting a high level of personal integrity and drive
* Being team-oriented
* Possessing excellent written and spoken English
* Having experience of commercial leases
* Able to work to deadlines, prioritize own workload effectively under pressure, and manage conflicting priorities
* Being proactive and energetic with a tenacious approach to identifying issues and solving them
* Able to progress tasks using own initiative, seeking guidance and input from others where necessary
Required Qualifications:
* Experience of Contract and Land Law processes and procedures is essential
* At least 12 months of previous legal experience in a similar position
* Degree/CILEx educated
