The Best Western Lancashire Manor Hotel is looking for an experienced Assistant Media, Conference and Events Co-Ordinator to join our existing team.
Our hotel has been fully refurbished and has a high level of corporate guests along with weddings, conference guests, and smaller private parties.
We are looking for someone who has strong social media skills (this is essential) who can provide media support by producing material and managing all our social media platforms. The ideal candidate must be able to handle customer enquiries, communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, carry out instructions, pay close attention to detail, and provide exceptional customer service.
Main Duties:
1. Taking full responsibility for updating and maintaining the hotel's website, Facebook, and Twitter accounts along with digital mailouts by producing adverts/text to promote all areas.
2. Supporting the Conference and Events Manager.
3. Handling incoming enquiries.
4. Ensuring all sales opportunities and future leads are followed up.
5. Conducting client show rounds.
6. Coordinating events from start to finish, liaising with the client in all areas of the event and ensuring communication with other operational departments within the hotel.
7. Ensuring all telephone, personal, and written enquiries are dealt with promptly in a friendly and professional manner.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1 year’s experience as an events co-ordinator and knowledge of Microsoft Office, Canva, and Publisher. They should be sales-driven but possess strong administration skills. Experience with Rezlynx is preferred but not essential.
* 3 Days per week, hours to be agreed.
