Please note there are two vacancies for this role specialising in Water and Wastewater each.
We are currently working with an award-winning utilities company, seeking a talented Design Engineer with Civil experience and experience in Water and Wastewater projects to join their water team at their Sheffield office.
You should be technically proficient, able to work with using their own initiative, possess a high level of independence and have excellent communication skills. They will be required to undertake an integral design role on projects, managing and producing design output and providing written report to client and senior management.
Core Duties:
• Undertake detailed design work on below ground wastewater and clean water infrastructure projects for water company clients.
• Agree design philosophy / design fundamentals.
• Allocating and managing CAD output from technicians
• Assisting the Project Managers to ensure the delivery of projects on time and to budget.
• Represent the company at meetings with clients, contractors, and fellow professionals.
• Undertaking site visits to gather information and data.
• Documentation and drawing reviews.
Skills:
• Minimum 3 years experience in water or wastewater projects.
• Knowledge and experience of attenuation design and flow balancing.
• Good appreciation of design delivery, health, safety, and environmental processes.
• Ability to undertake multiple projects simultaneously.
• Experience with AutoCAD beneficial
• Educated to Degree level or equivalent in a Civil discipline (Essential).
• Full UK driving licence.
