The Vacancy
We have an opportunity for 3 x Environmental Maintenance Operatives (Seasonal) to join our Grounds team on a fixed term contract until the end of September 2025.
In this role, you'll be assisting with landscaping and grounds maintenance during the summer months.
Responsibilities
* Completing general grounds maintenance such as: grass cutting, edging, weeding, hoeing, forking, digging, raking, leaf clearance, basic tree care, hedge cutting, litter picking, assist in playground inspection.
* Carrying out landscaping work such as planting shrubs, laying turf etc.
* Assisting with general bulky removal services - and possibly clearing empty properties.
* Completing relevant paperwork applicable to daily work tasks.

Here's what we are looking for in a candidate:
* You should be comfortable using a range of machinery such as ride-on lawn mowers, and mowers used near to highways.
* Have good practical skills that you'll be able to apply to the horticultural and commercial environment.
* Be able to communicate with the wider team and our customers effectively.
Whilst having an understanding of COSHH, other qualifications in Horticulture and chemical spraying certificates (PA1/PA6) are desirable, these aren't essential.
