We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Midday Supervisor to join our dedicated team at a Special Educational Needs (SEN) school in Letchworth Garden City.
This role offers a rewarding opportunity to support children with diverse needs during their lunchtime break.
- Supervision and Assistance: Oversee and support pupils during lunchtime in the dining hall, playground, and other school areas.
- Safety and Welfare: Ensure the safety, well-being, and care of all pupils, with a particular focus on those with special educational needs.
- Encourage Social Interaction: Promote positive social interactions and assist pupils with their meals as needed.
- Behaviour Management: Implement the school's behaviour management strategies to maintain a calm and inclusive environment.
- Personal Care Support: Provide support for pupils with personal care needs, following the school's policies and procedures.
- Collaboration: Work collaboratively with teaching staff and fellow midday supervisors to ensure a smooth lunchtime experience.
- Experience: Previous experience working with children, especially those with special educational needs, is highly desirable.
- Personal Qualities: A patient, caring, and understanding nature, with the ability to build positive relationships with pupils.
- Communication Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
