The Role
Tameside Council is a great place to work and develop, where people can make the most of their talents and gain diverse experience.
This role is within the Council’s central Communications Team, supporting our Senior Communications Officers and promoting our wide range of services through the development and execution of public campaigns as well as responding to the daily flow of media requests and social media content.
The Service is therefore looking to appoint a practised Communications Officer with excellent communication and people skills to join the vibrant and passionate, award winning team.
About You
Skills and Experience required:
* Experience in a similar role producing media releases and conducting regular liaison with media organisations
* Ability to work under tight time pressures and produce quality content
* Familiarity with social media and web content
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Excellent critical thinking skills and the ability to exercise good judgment and solve problems quickly and effectively
