Business Support Assistant (PMO) – A47 Norwich
Location: Solihull, England
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Business Support Assistant (PMO) to join the team on the major A47 scheme in Norwich for Galliford Try Infrastructure. You will work closely with senior management, the client and other stakeholders in order to drive a high performing PMO function.
As PMO Business Support Assistant you will provide effective and efficient business support to the Portfolio Management Office.
Key Responsibilities –
* Standardise the governance chart and roles and responsibilities, per gateway review and layer of responsibility;
* Develop further and maintain the meetings schedule; document type of meetings per gateway review and layer of responsibility;
* Develop the 2nd iteration of the RDP Portal in Power App as agreed with the Head of Portfolio Office and provide a help desk facility for enquiries / issues / problems, record requests for assistance on the Portal, assign them to members of the team and track the requests to resolution.
* Support the Portfolio Office team in all the development work undertaken to deliver standardised best practice.
* Maintain knowledge/reference library in relation to governance boards, framework plans and induction to RDP.
* Ensure efficiencies, innovations, lessons learned and any other logs are up to date and stored as agreed with the Head of Portfolio Management Office;
* Maintain and update the governance chart and contract contact / stakeholder list;
* Preparation of internal reports (MCRs and Sector Review) and attending MCRs to take minutes;
* Write reports on teams activities, and support internal communications with summaries of working groups activities;
* Produce meeting minutes and activity logs, track actions and ensure they are closed out.
* Provide logistical support when and if required.
About You –
* Aware of individual Health and Safety responsibilities and adheres to company health and safety policy and procedures.
* Able to demonstrate alignment and work in line with the Galliford Try values - Excellence, Passion, Integrity and Collaboration.
* Able to successfully engage with a wide range of stakeholders using effective and appropriate communication styles.
* Highly organised with the ability to work at pace.
* Able to deliver with a high level of quality and accuracy within required deadlines.
* Able to work under own initiative and in a highly demanding environment.
* University degree in business administration, PRINCE 2 or P3O qualification, or equivalent experience working in a Project, Programme or Portfolio Office.
* Fully conversant with the Microsoft Office suite with excellent knowledge of Teams, Word, Excel and Power Point.
Location -
At Galliford Try, we are committed to flexible and agile working. Day to day working locations are flexible and agreed periodic homeworking is an option. The role is to support the A47 project in Norfolk which will require site visits. The PMO team sit within Solihull and this would be your main working location.
