The Role
NHS Lanarkshire is looking to recruit a Community Dialysis Support Worker based within University Hospital Monklands.
In partnership with the registered nurse, the Community Dialysis Support Worker assesses and reviews the plan of care using the patient’s individual care plan. You will implement the plan of care to ensure delivery of a high standard and will work on a regular basis without direct supervision from a registered nurse.
As part of a multidisciplinary team, you will carry out renal replacement therapy assistance, patient health assessment, and guide decisions about patient care with support from a registered nurse and other relevant professional practitioners.
What we'll need you to bring
1. Educated to SCQF Level 7 in a healthcare-related subject with previous experience working in a healthcare setting.
2. Additional in-house training on peritoneal dialysis and equipment (minimum 3 months to competency).
3. Effective written and verbal communication skills.
4. Knowledge of working with people and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
5. Organisational and time management skills.
6. Knowledge of IT systems.
7. Full UK driving licence.

Contract type: Permanent, Full time, 37 hours
Location: This role will be based in Renal within University Hospital Monklands.
