We are looking to engage a QHSE professional to join our team based in Darlington on a full-time permanent basis.
Job Purpose:
The QHSE Systems & Compliance Manager will be required, as part of a team to carry out a wide range of QHSE related activities, including but not limited to:
Job Description:
1. Responsible for the administration, development and continual improvement of the systems used to manage and report QHSE.
2. Plan, Coordinate and perform as necessary, the QHSE activities required to maintain legal and MS compliance and provide the inputs for analysis and review.
3. Work with the QHSE team to help develop, implement, and continually improve the Company and Project QHSE Standards and requirements.
4. Assist in identifying and processing any non-conformances, liaise with suppliers (internal and external) and help with providing corrective action and lessons learned.
5. Provide management system reports, maintain and update electronic information systems, distribute and ensure accuracy of all documentation in line with the Company procedures and policies.
6. Help promote the best practice and safe systems of work integrated into our QHSE Management systems, mentoring users and operators.
7. Promote the culture of safety, proactivity, and reliability.
8. Conduct internal/external inspections.
9. Gather and analyze data.
10. Contribute to management reports.
11. Manage and verify supplier documents and certification.
12. Perform or assist with internal audits and participate in external audits.
13. Maintain and update calibrated equipment and calibration register.
14. Maintain and improve the approved Supplier List/system.
15. Maintain QHSE Management System, documents, and records.
16. Manage and record QHSE reporting (Observation Reports, Risk Assessments, Toolbox Talks, Audits, and Incident Reports, etc.).
17. Develop Project Quality Plans, HSE Plans, and Inspection and Test Plans.
18. Identify, investigate, and report non-conformities, including Root Cause Analysis.
19. Conduct trend analysis and implement corrective actions via LEAN, 8D, Six Sigma, etc. processes and methodologies.
20. Develop and promote QHSE culture, with cost of poor-quality analysis combined with improving behaviors towards the ‘Safety First’ & ‘Right First Time’ goals.
21. Manage and drive QHSE continuous improvement activities.
22. Support continuous improvement initiatives both internally and with suppliers.
23. Lead or support Problem Solving, Failure Analysis, Corrective Action, and Preventative Action activities.
24. Promote a culture of structured problem solving.
25. Provide guidance and mentoring to designated individuals as necessary.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
1. 5 years min QHSE experience ideally in Engineering.
2. ISO MS Standards knowledge (9001, 14001, 45001).
3. CQI Level 3 would be preferable.
4. ISO 9001:2015 Internal auditor would be preferable.
5. NEBOSH certificate preferable.
6. Good interpersonal skills.
7. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
8. Flexible and proactive.
9. Good written and spoken communication abilities.
10. Ability to work to deadlines.
11. Ability to read drawings.
12. Structured approach to problem solving.
13. Able to use basic measuring equipment.
14. Good knowledge of calibration requirements.
15. Computer literate.
16. Knowledge of stores and Goods Inward.
