We have an exciting opportunity for the right candidate/s to work with employers on a national scale to make a huge difference to the lives of people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities. This is a fixed term maternity cover post from June 2025- March 2026 on a full time (37.5 hours per week) contract. This post can be home working with frequent travel and possibility of some overnight stays.
The role will require the ability to develop new relationships and maintain existing relationships with employers to deliver work experience opportunities and job outcomes for the Mencap Training Academy and our employment programmes across England and Northern Ireland.
The post holder/s will work closely with the Employer Engagement Officers and Programme Coordinators to ensure a consistent approach to employer engagement.
What will your role look like on a day-to-day basis as an Employment Relationship Manager?
- Developing and maintaining strategic relationships with employers
- Organising and chairing regular team meetings with Employer Engagement Officers
- Cascading and filtering information to and from employers, providing reports, updating information, and keeping delivery teams informed of dev3elopment and opportunities
- Ensuring employer information is kept up to date on Mencap's D365 database
- Motivating and coaching staff
- Delivering presentations and learning disability awareness sessions on a regular basis
- Managing a member of staff with lived experience of learning disability.
