Not your average role…. ScotRail have 4 maintenance depots throughout Scotland responsible for the maintenance, repair, and overhaul of more than 600 vehicles. Vehicle types are varied and include the most modern types of Traction and Rolling stock within the UK. All vehicles are maintained to the highest quality and engineering standards resulting in a challenging working environment. As a member of the Engineering Team, you will be responsible for the delivery of safe, reliable, well-presented trains. The successful applicant will carry out basic engineering and servicing tasks on rail vehicles. What you bring Candidates must be flexible, efficient and enthusiastic. Good communication and team working skills. Highly motivated. Detailed eye focused on safety and quality. Due to the demands of the shift-pattern it would be advantageous to have a full driving license and your own transport. Hours of work: 35-hour week. The post includes working Dayshift/Backshift and includes weekend working. Reference Salary: £42,237 per annum on completion of training, training salary £38,034 per annum.
