What makes this Product Business Analyst role so special?
As a Product Business Analyst at Checkd, you’ll play a key role in driving the success of our in-house betting products. You’ll have the unique opportunity to work across a portfolio of 6 diverse tech products — ranging from web apps and native mobile apps to CMS products.
Working across the full product life cycle, you’ll use your Swiss-Army knife of Business Analyst + Product skills to collaborate with stakeholders, translate needs into product requirements, support the product backlog, transform data into product insights and drive the growth of the products you look after. You’ll collaborate closely with our Product Director (Adam), Head of Product (Dan) and a talented team of engineers, designers, and product experts. Together, we’ll grow and evolve the products that power unique sports betting experiences for over 250,000 users. Sound good?
Key Responsibilities:
* Drive Product Improvements: Take responsibility for 6 distinct products, each with its own user base, features, roadmap and objectives. Drive the end-to-end delivery and ensure we’re consistently improving.
* Collaborate + Create: Work closely with engineering, design, and stakeholders to transform ideas into actionable product requirements. Be the bridge between business and tech, ensuring everyone is aligned and working towards shared goals.
* Be a Customer Champion: Understand the needs of our users, and translate those insights into product features and operational requirements. Your role is all about delivering value to our customers and ensuring their success.
* Drive Data-Driven Insights: Champion the use of Google Analytics (or similar) across our product suite. Analyze data to uncover opportunities and guide future product decisions.
* Test, Learn, and Improve: Participate in testing (Integration, UAT, etc.) to ensure our products are top-notch and always meeting the high standards we set.
Who’s going to find success in this role?
As a sports focused product business, we’re looking for a Product Business Analyst who really understands the world of tech product development. Aspects of your role will fall under the scope of a Business Analyst, and other parts will be deep in Product Manager land. We need someone who can straddle the two with comfort and a laser focus on improving the products they manage.
To do that, we think you’ll likely need the following skills:
* 3+ years of experience managing mobile apps and/or web products throughout the software product development lifecycle.
* A comprehensive understanding of modern sports betting and iGaming.
* Experience using Google Analytics (or similar) to gain insights and drive improvements.
* Hands-on experience working with cross-functional engineering and design teams.
* The ability to engage with stakeholders, listen to their needs and deliver results.
* Experience using Jira/Confluence (nice to have).
* Experience working in the betting industry: trade, product, operations (nice to have)
