In this role, you’ll help to develop the next generation of Scotland's ambitious business leaders. You’ll encourage leaders to adopt fair work practices, support innovation and help them grow their businesses internationally.
Your input will help leaders create better quality jobs and lead workplace changes that attract investment and deliver results faster.
The role
You’ll use your skills and experience to support and influence business leaders in Scotland to increase their ambition, risk appetite and capacity to grow their business.
With a focus on latest leadership theory, you’ll deliver consultancy-type support to help companies identify creative solutions to growth barriers. These solutions will include:
* Developments across leadership models
* Data analysis
* Change management
* Culture
* Skills and capabilities
Responsibilities
Your responsibilities will include:
* Helping customers to progress leadership and management (capability and capacity) activities into actions, through our learning programmes and one-to-one support
* Encouraging leaders to better connect skills with other important areas like investment in new digital technologies and infrastructure, helping them plan for future growth
* Reviewing businesses as a whole and creating action plans for leaders to overcome growth challenges and access the right support from our organisation and other providers
* Working with partners and employers to promote Fair Work First and improve job opportunities for people from diverse backgrounds
Who we're looking for
We’re looking for someone with:
* Practical knowledge of the latest leadership trends and how investing in leadership and workplace practices can boost business growth
* The ability to deliver strategic support to businesses, develop robust action plans, and run workshops and development sessions
* Experience in implementing organisational change projects
* A good level of general business knowledge and experience
* The ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team of business specialists
* Excellent relationship building and network skills with a focus around business development
* A sharp focus and ability to achieve results
* Influencing, communication, and interpersonal skills at a senior level
A driving licence or access to a car (or some other means of transportation) is essential in this role.
On occasion, the role will require early morning and evening work.
The successful applicant will be educated to SCQF Level 9, preferably with relevant professional qualification and have significant practical experience in a leadership, change, HR, OD, and/or consultancy role.
