About the Role
We're looking for a passionate leader to join us at our Bognor Regis Resort as part of our Bars & Shops department, leading the team in Butlin's Store - our guests' favourite for all their branded Butlin's merchandise. Think of the best destination for all the favourites of Billy Bear, Bonnie Bear, the Skyline Gang and more.
As a Venue Manager, you'll be vital in helping our guests create smiles - getting stuck in to give them a great dining experience! You'll be part of a big team of people who are responsible for providing our guests with an altogether more fun and entertaining holiday.
You should enjoy developing people and be passionate about delivering exceptional experiences to guests by nurturing, training and coaching the team in a fun-filled environment.
You will drive standards and have the ability to lead the team to excellence, incorporating all brand standards and Butlin's way of working.
Reporting to the Senior Manager for Bars & Shops, you'll enjoy the buzz of a busy environment and will drive your team to maintain high levels of hygiene and cleanliness.
You'll have the ability to drive consistent brand standards whilst being guest obsessed and operating efficiently in everything you do.
The role will also involve analysing KPIs and stock control systems to maximise gross profit margins and adhering to food safety and health & safety policies.
You should have a real passion for leading by example and inspiring others to deliver experiences that truly delight our guests. You should be an advocate for your team's fulfilment at work, ensuring that you are having regular 121's and PDP discussions to support their development and career with Butlin's.
As with all roles at Butlin's, no day will be the same and you will need to enjoy thinking on your feet, getting stuck in, and ensuring that our guest experience is always your number one priority.
About You
We are looking for an individual with prior experience in running a busy retail outlet/venue with good commercial acumen.
You should be passionate about leading and developing a team and supporting people through regular 121's and coaching. You will monitor team retention, utilising exit interviews as an opportunity to retain or gain feedback, to address opportunities to increase retention scores. You'll be accountable for people management of the department, including all people tasks from onboarding through the employee life cycle.
Delivering an amazing experience to our guests is the most important part of this role so you should be passionate about every interaction and should seek opportunities to improve this wherever possible and be able to manage multiple priorities and can adapt quickly to changing requirements.
