We are seeking motivated and confident Staff Nurses to bring their expertise to work on Charnwood Ward at Loughborough Community Hospital. The wards are nurse led which will give you high levels of autonomy and satisfaction in delivering excellent care, supporting rehabilitation and promoting patient independence. Our cohorts of patients are increasingly complex due to the need to facilitate early discharge from hospital and prevent admission to the secondary care sector.
Charnwood Ward admits patients from the acute sector who are medically fit for discharge but are awaiting a package of care, discharge to assess bed or care placement. The service that this ward provides is essential for maintaining the flow of patients within the health care system.

Job Description Summary (Main Duties And Responsibilities)
1. Assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating patient care in a nurse led environment.
2. Assisting with and contributing to the management and organisation of the ward.
3. Delivery of high-quality care.
4. Participating in education, development and supervision of other staff members and students.
5. Working collaboratively and co-operatively with others to meet the needs of clients/service users and their families.
