Purpose of the Job The purpose of this position is to provide Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) leadership assisting our Data Center Solutions (DCS) sector clients along their Net-Zero journey. This client-facing leadership role will drive new client pursuits including RFPs relating to ESG, as well as strategy leadership for existing CBRE client engagements with E&S goals and contractual scope. The successful candidate will be part of the DCS leadership team as the Sustainability subject matter expert and leader, as well as a member of the Global Energy and Sustainability leadership team. Aligning to the DCS Sector strategy, the Leader will directly support sales, client solutions, transitions, and account improvement initiatives on a day-to-day basis. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES This role will provide leadership and advice in relation to a range of ESG elements including, energy & water conservation, renewable energy, environmental & social impact, as well as regulatory compliance. Fundamentally the role shall be split into several distinct areas: Business Development: Responsible for identifying scope growth opportunities with existing clients, creating compelling business cases for client approval. This includes identification of carbon reduction and savings opportunities, adoption of CBRE product/service recommended solutions, and project execution opportunities through CBRE project management services. Business development also includes proactively identifying and driving RFP responses through seamless coordination with the sales and solutions team. Work closely with the DCS Sector Leadership to develop market expertise. Responding to issued RFPs includes leading and develop solutions which leverage CBREs ESG capabilities, tools, services, and solutions in a compelling, seamless manner for GWS DCS clients. Dedicated E&S Staff: The sector leader will be responsible for leading client account-dedicated ESG teams for existing CBRE clients as well as divisional / platform-level ESG resources. Ensuring that the scope of services shall be maintained and, wherever possible, introduce new products and services through those teams. Support in the maintenance of the dedicated teams statement of work, and ensure we meet all obligations within the scope of services we provide. CBRE Sustainability as a Provider: Where required, work with existing customers to implement sustainability initiatives, to ensure that CBREs Environmental aspirations, as well as the customers, are met. Understand the complexities and challenges facing our service lines, assist in the creation of more sustainable service lines/products, which lead to a positive sustainable outcome. In addition: Lead and support client-dedicated ESG teams as well as sector based ESG resources, helping to recruit top talent, identify opportunities, resolve issues, and promote collaboration with CBRE platform services Conduct due diligence and feasibility assessments on existing client portfolios for viability of EV, renewable energy, energy & waste management programs as well as social value activities and regulatory compliance Identify cross-collaboration opportunities between core CBRE services (facilities management, project management, and transaction management) to drive data-driven and efficient FM operations, capital planning opportunities, and green leasing criteria Work to clearly articulate the value of ESG activities on client portfolios and the ability to integrate solutions into broader infrastructure goals Educate the Sector on Sustainability Collaborate with the Global E&S team to expand CBREs product/service suite in sustainability REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
