As a CASS Lead Consultant, you will be at the forefront of their client engagements, directly managing relationships, delivering high-quality work, and steering projects to successful outcomes. You will leverage your technical expertise, regulatory knowledge, and proactive attitude to drive value for our clients and the business alike. This is a broad role that requires a blend of strategic oversight and a hands-on approach. You'll lead client projects from start to finish, develop innovative solutions, and play an instrumental role in business growth and development.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Client Leadership and Project Management
o Take a leading role in all client-facing work, ensuring the highest quality of delivery.
o Manage projects and workstreams, ensuring client outcomes align with budget and timeline expectations.
o Lead client interactions, maintaining and growing relationships with senior leaders and stakeholders.
o Directly oversee the development of pitch decks, propositions, and CASS-focused advisory work, often supervising and mentoring junior team members.
2. Advisory and Regulatory Expertise
o Provide advisory support on CASS compliance to a portfolio of financial services clients.
o Maintain an in-depth understanding of CASS regulations, including CASS 6, 7, 8, and 10, and deliver expert insights on regulatory trends and developments.
o Articulate compelling perspectives on industry developments, enforcement actions, and regulatory changes.
3. Business Development and Brand Building
o Actively promote the firm’s brand and services, identifying and pursuing opportunities to enhance their market presence.
o Develop profitable and innovative product and service offerings aligned with client needs.
o Initiate and sustain long-lasting, trusting relationships with clients, prospects, and industry bodies.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Essential Skills and Experience:
o 10+ years of relevant experience in the industry, regulation, or consulting roles, with at least 5 years in a consulting capacity.
o Recent and significant experience in CASS audits at a Big 4, mid-tier or consulting firm.
o Extensive knowledge of the UK regulatory framework and a track record of managing senior stakeholder relationships.
o Comprehensive understanding of FS sector structures, governance frameworks, and compliance requirements.
o Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence and challenge effectively.
o Proven project management skills, including judgment on escalation and risk management.
