Our Assistant Managers play a key role in ensuring that our service users are given every opportunity to return to living in their own home by supporting and re-enabling them during their short stay at Positive Step. A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join a friendly welcoming team at Positive Step Social Care Assessment Unit as an Assistant Manager on a temporary basis for 12 months. The manager will provide shift leadership, direction and management of resources which include staff, finance, equipment and the building. They will Manage the daily rota to ensure that any planned and unplanned activities are undertaken using staff in the most effective and efficient manner. Our assistant managers will have shift responsibility for the safety of staff, service users and visitors to the unit, ensuring that any building and health and safety issues are identified and rectified. They will undertake relevant PDR’s and supervision in line with corporate targets and Essential Care Standards; identifying overall staff development needs and solutions. Developing and maintaining good professional relationships within the multi disciplinary team, Care Home Liaison Service, G.Ps and any other allied professional is a regular part of the role. As requested by the Registered and Deputy Manager participate in the development of policy practice and procedures; ensuring that service delivery is in line with CQC Essential Standards and CDC contracts monitoring. As delegated by the Deputy Manager, chair routine regular service user reviews, case conferences and admission/discharge meetings, ensuring appropriate involvement of clients, relatives, professional colleagues and managers. Having the responsibility to ensure that all vulnerable adults are safeguarded against abuse by ensuring that the Doncaster Safeguarding Adults procedures are implemented and that staff are fully conversant with their responsibilities in line with this. They will have the day to day responsibility for the safe keeping, administration and ordering of medication. Leading meetings with staffing groups.
