We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, charismatic, and dedicated person to work in the Trust. This person will aim to engage with the local community to offer a relevant, accessible, and engaging employability & skills programme supporting individuals into further training and employment, through developing their personal and social skills. The role requires a passion for delivering innovative courses, programmes, and activities using football and the brand of Rotherham United Football Club to engage unemployed adults. The successful applicant will be required to network with local agencies in the public, private, and voluntary sectors to deliver positive outcomes for participants.
THE ROLE
1. To plan, deliver and evaluate the Employability Programmes to participants at community venues or at the New York Stadium.
2. Manage & grow the employability offer at Rotherham United Community Trust.
3. Develop and maintain positive relationships with local Job Centres and the DWP to recruit individuals onto the various employability programmes.
4. Collaborate with individuals, communities, community organisations and partners in a planned way to promote the aims and objectives of the programmes.
5. Build a network of local referral partners across the local area to ensure the programme is accessible to those most in need.
6. Monitor and support the overall progress and development of participants alongside assisting them to improve their emotional capabilities, attitude towards work, and understanding of viable career options.
7. To facilitate and encourage an inspiring experience, which provides participants with the opportunity to achieve their individual progress and potential.
8. Ensure registration and monitoring information is collected and maintain all appropriate records and report regularly via written reports.
9. Ensure the appropriate supervision and safeguarding of participants, following Trust policies and procedures.
10. Ensure that courses and activities meet the needs of all participants including those with disabilities and those from Black, Asian, and Minority Ethnic communities.
11. Where possible, encourage and support participants to engage in other programmes offered by Rotherham United Community Trust.
12. Regularly identify and share good news stories and case studies to celebrate participant achievements.
13. Undertake any staff development (CPD) relevant to the needs of the post.
14. Attend meetings to exchange ideas and information and share good practice.
15. Use resources available within the department to recruit participants onto the various employability programmes.
16. To perform other duties as reasonably assigned or under the authority of the senior management team.
