Outreach Domestic Abuse Support Advisor Salary : £23,400 increasing to £23,868 after successful completion of probation Hours : 37.5 hours per week Holiday : 25 days annual holiday entitlement increasing to 30 days after 5 years’ service per annum plus bank holidays Base : Pool Innovation Centre, Redruth, Cornwall, TR15 3PL Area Covered : Countywide Contract : Fixed term until March 2026, with the potential for extension subject to future funding Key responsibilities: The Outreach Domestic Abuse Support Advisor will: Work within the integrated Domestic Abuse Service – Safer Futures. Provide a high quality practical and emotional support to people of all genders living in the community who are living with, or have lived with, domestic abuse and sexual violence. Develop tailored support plans with a focus on reducing the risk of harm, increasing personal safety and responding to individual need. Raise awareness within the local community about domestic abuse and support available. Be able to adjust their practice to deliver a truly bespoke intervention that is based on complex need and risk. Identify and make links with existing projects and community services and to develop joint support where appropriate. Work within a crisis intervention team and will have the ability to engage and work flexibly to demonstrate positive outcomes for service users. Follow First Light procedures and protocols as well as those from other services so that the safety of the clients is kept central to any process. Maintain accurate case notes in line with data protection. Ensure that clients get the services to which they are entitled. Essential requirements: Must hold valid driving license and be willing to travel to face to face appointments.
