Remuneration: £55,000 - £57,000 + £6,000-£15,000 bonus

The role of the Area Sales Manager – M&E Building Services will involve:
1. Field sales role selling manufactured range of commercial pumps into commercial building services projects such as schools, hospitals, high rise residential and public buildings
2. 50% of your time selling into M&E sub contractors
3. 40% back selling through national (BSS, Pipe Centre etc.) and independent plumbing & heating merchants (ensuring distributors and local stockists are fully informed in respect of new products etc.)
4. 10% generating specifications with M&E consultants, local authorities, health authorities and other specialist specifiers (supported by Specification Manager who covers the South)
5. Majority of your time will be spent generating new business, mainly through developing existing accounts
6. Project sizes from £5,000 up to £200,000 (average orders value £20,000)
7. Taking over a territory currently performing above market expectations and only slightly below budget (incumbent on patch 5 years)
8. Current revenue responsibility £1.7m (area achieved bonus previous 2 years)
9. Keeping a well organised CRM system
The ideal applicant will be an Area Sales Manager – M&E Building Services with:
1. Proven field sales experience within the building services industry
2. Must have sold into M&E contractors; contacts not essential but may be advantageous
3. Commercial pump sales background is not essential as full product training will be provided
4. Open to all commercial building services products such as pumps, boilers, valves or other heating and ventilation (H&V) associated products
5. Specification field sales experience with M&E consultants would be advantageous but is not essential
6. Technical ability
7. On the up in career, not a man manager looking to make a backward step
