Aspiro healthcare is a dynamic and forward-thinking Partnership based across Northamptonshire and Derbyshire serving a population of 55,000 patients across 8 sites.
We have a rare opportunity for a Practice Nurse to join our team. We have 5 sites in Northamptonshire including Corby, Wollaston, and Bozeat. All sites are training practices, and the entire team shares the educational ethos whilst looking after our medical students, FY2, and GP registrars.
In Northamptonshire, we currently offer services to non-registered patients such as vasectomy, enhanced minor surgery, community wax clinic, and provide medical support to two private mental health units and a Specialist Care Centre.
Job Responsibilities
* General nursing services, cervical cytology, health screening, injections, travel health, child immunisations, and adult vaccination and immunisation programmes.
* Develop or already be experienced in specialist nursing skills in providing additional care for long-term conditions and diseases such as asthma/COPD care, diabetes, cancer care reviews, etc.
* Deliver care according to current guidelines including the NMC, National Institute for Clinical Excellence (NICE) guidelines, Chief Medical Officer guidance, and evidence-based care.
* Ensure that the clinical working environment is organised, safe, and efficient - as a minimum, to meet CQC requirements.
* Support the Practice to achieve its requirements within the QOF framework, enhanced services, targets, and other policies and protocols.
* Continue to develop other clinical competencies as agreed with the Practice.
* Communicate effectively with patients and carers, recognising the need for alternative methods of communication to overcome different levels of understanding, cultural background, and preferred ways of communicating.
* Represent the Practice in a positive, professional, and caring manner.
* Continued learning and development.
