You will be responsible for developing and managing the work of the HR Operations team within HR Services at an operational and strategic level.
You will lead our HR Operations teams to deliver a professional 1 st line HR advice and support service to customers on the application of HR policy and procedures and related administrative processes including employment contracts, recruitment advertising, payroll activities, in addition to the provision of management information to support strategic workforce planning activities.
You will also be responsible for ensuring the effective development, maintenance and operation of HR systems to ensure that all statutory obligations relating to HR and payroll placed on the council are undertaken with effective procedures and controls in place.
As part of the HR Services Management Team, you will provide high level professional advice, guidance and support to assist the council to achieve its objectives through the provision of effective people management programmes and initiatives.
