The job: As Director, Business Development, you will secure and retain business for PPD through professional, consultative, proactive sales activities focused on decision-makers and decision influencers at existing and new clinical sponsors. You will position PPD as a primary or preferred provider for all clinical development work to be outsourced, qualifying deals and developing proposals including defining the solutions and recommending pricing structures to meet strategic company goals. The sales territory for this role will cover some of our key markets across Europe, and may include some of the following: UK, France, DACH, BeNeLux, and Nordics. We have flexibility on which specific territory is assigned and will tailor it to the candidate. Candidates can be based anywhere in Europe, providing you live close to an international airport and are willing to travel as required (c.3 days per week on the road, including overnight stays).
