The current hourly rate is circa £13.14 (rising to circa £14.03 per hour from April 2025). What you’ll be doing As one of our Casual Breakfast Chefs you will support our Lead Cook and play an important role in delivering our catering service to resident groups that visit us at our Field Studies Centre. You’ll need to be happy to be able to carry out all duties associated with kitchen work. We usually operate fixed mealtimes with one or two sittings, using set menus with two or three food choices. Where you’ll be based The Field Studies Council Blencathra centre is in a magnificent setting, with unrivalled views of the Lake District. Imagine taking in these surroundings on your lunchbreak We welcome over 9,000 visitors each year from schools, colleges, universities, and other organisations. Our visitors come from all over the UK, and for many it is their first trip to the Lake District World Heritage Site. We ask that you have: You will have some previous catering experience and the ability to communicate effectively with co-workers, line managers and customers.
