Are you passionate about supporting Young People to have their voices heard in matters that affect them? If so, then this role could be for you! We have an opportunity to join our team in this part-time role to deliver on a number of activities including participatory consultations, facilitating advisory boards and engaging young people in a range of different events using a participatory approach.
The Development Officer, alongside colleagues, will be responsible for developing and implementing Children in Wales’ participation programme, through direct work with a diverse range of children and young people and the practitioners and the organisations that support them, namely:
1. To inform and enable children and young people to participate effectively and have their views heard by Ministers and policy makers through Young Wales and other participation activity, in order to inform policy and practice development whilst empowering children and young people.
2. Support the implementation of Article 12 of the UNCRC by gathering the voice of the child to inform policy development.
