This successful food manufacturer produces well-known chilled and frozen products, supplied to every major supermarket. It’s an opportunity for you to add depth to your knowledge around their quality standards and codes of practice.
This role reports to the Quality Manager, who has a great reputation of coaching and supporting her team, which includes identifying and developing talent.
There’s a strong food safety culture here, where you’ll be part of a significant quality and technical team, supporting factory operations on technical standards, including OPEX-MS and BRC. To be successful, you’ll need working knowledge of BRC, strong understanding of food safety and quality systems, root cause analysis and risk assessment knowledge. You’ll also have a good understanding of allergen awareness, food hygiene and HACCP, ideally up to Level 4.
Experience of working in a fast-paced food manufacturing facility, you’ll need to be a good communicator, organised and with the ability to prioritise a busy workload. Report writing will be part of the role, so computer skills in Microsoft office/Excel etc. along with close attention to detail are essential.
