The Loan Closing team support the Loan Sales and Trading desks to ensure smooth execution, allocation and settlement of all EMEA Loan trades. The team will work closely with Clients and key internal stakeholders to resolve exceptions and ensure timely settlement. Role The role is to work within the team structure and processes to ensure the Loan business is supported appropriately and that our clients and internal stakeholders receive excellent levels of service. Represent the team and department in a professional, collaborative and commercially aware manner. Key Responsibilities The key responsibilities are: Working in a dynamic environment to manage the full portfolio and Closing of PAR and Distressed LMA and LSTA loan trades Ability to manage the trade portfolio, across multiple business lines, following all trades from Trade Date to Settlement whilst minimising age profile and driving reduced settlement timeframes Ensuring all new trades and fund allocations are added and set up within internal systems Review of underlying credit documentation (focus on Transfer and Tax mechanics) to ensure accurate transfer of positions. Drafting of Loan Trade Closing documentation – including Trade Confirmations, Transfer Documents, Pricing Letters (amongst others) when not closing via electronic platform Coordinating with Trader, sales and Legal (internal and external) on proposed changes to Trade documents Identifying and escalating issues to the front office traders/ sales, in-house legal counsel, compliance and management where necessary Working directly with clients, internal partners and external Agents to resolve issues and ensure smooth closing of all trades. Prepare and review settlement calculations including delayed compensation, cost of carry and benefit of commitment reductions Co-ordination and timely solution of any post trade settlement cash queries with Internal and external Clients to ensure clear bank account nostro. Responsible for waiver and amendment monitoring for credits across portfolio and action them with internal stakeholders where necessary, including bankruptcy and restructurings Managing and monitoring our data room sites with public and private information for our clients, acting as a gate keeper for the desk Keep up to date with market initiatives to ensure the Firm is adopting change (i.e. changes to LMA Standard Terms and Conditions etc) Working on internal projects and initiatives designed to improve automation and strengthen the teams control environment across our global franchise. Skills Required Extensive knowledge of the LMA market Subject matter expertise in relation to loan transfer documentation and loan closing Knowledge of Loan IQ, Debt Domain and ClearPar would be beneficial. Knowledge of information wall barriers preferred. Strong PC skills Excel, Word and PowerPoint Excellent oral and written communication skills Self-motivation with tangible examples of demonstrating drive and initiative Demonstrate you are a detail orientated individual that can multitask efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment Must have excellent client service skills with both internal and external clients An excellent team player and a partner to all internal stakeholders across the Firm.
