TristoneNash are supporting a housing provider in the Somerset area in their search for a Head of Compliance and Asset for an 18 month FTC. The role offers flexible working patterns with some on site office visibility. The purpose of this role is to lead on all aspects of an efficient, effective and customer focused compliance, M&E, fleet and administration management for the Housing portfolio. Including responsibility for: cyclical servicing programmes and investment (gas, asbestos, fire, water, electrical, sewage treatment, renewables, lifts and all associated programmes and upgrade works) all administration teams providing support across the operations directorate, including to the internal programmes, response and energy efficiency delivery streams associated operational tasks essential to day to day delivery (inc material and fleet day to day management and procurement assistance) Ensuring that these services meet key external and internal customer, financial and performance targets. Responsibilities: Work as part of the overall Operations directorate team, to lead the section and ensure that agreed standards and behaviours are met and exceeded. Provide leadership to the internal delivery teams. Ensuring the teams are professional, proactive and customer focussed. Take full ownership of all aspects of the of the service and provide a visible lead across the organisation on all aspects of the services. Develop a robust succession plan to ensure the continuity of skilled personnel and leadership within the team. Work closely with colleagues in operations to jointly deliver the planned and cyclical programmes and repairs and voids services. Liaise with the asset manager to develop data sets and understanding of M&E and Compliance programme investment requirements. With the asset manager put in place proactive, forward looking planning arrangements to identify and clearly set out on a property by property or block by block basis what works are required, when they are required, and who should carry them out. In Conjunction with colleagues across all delivery streams, develop clear, consistent and common component specifications across all work programmes. Ensure that your service delivers a timely service to programme teams, enabling them to deliver programmes in agreed timescales. Work as part of the overall Operations directorate team to ensure all, planned, cyclical and compliance programmes, improvement and responsive maintenance services are delivered in a customer focused way, taking into full account customer feedback to shape and influence how services are provided. Ensure that all programmes meet their legal, code of practice and regulatory requirements and that processes and procedures are regularly and comprehensively reviewed, to ensure their continuing relevance and that they meet sector best practice. Develop and lead on policy, procedure, processes and systems to ensure customer focused, safe, efficient compliance planned, cyclical and responsive services are delivered Take the lead on setting and enforcing standards of behaviour, Health and Safety compliance and customer service within the team.
