Job Overview:
Connected Voice is looking for a Support and Development Officer. This is a rewarding role and will involve making a positive difference to voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) organisations by providing free advice and support to organisations based or operating in Gateshead and Newcastle.
You will support our local voluntary and community organisations on all aspects of development, including advice and guidance on funding, good governance, and getting the right organisation structure. You will help to deliver our premium (charged for) services. In particular, you will support operational and strategic reviews of VCSE organisations and the delivery of tailored training courses. You will also provide administrative support to deliver a brand new grant programme.
You will establish, support and facilitate networks and partnerships for VCSE organisations to have a voice and be represented in order to shape and influence local strategic priorities through local conversations, supporting locality, neighbourhood and area-based project development in Gateshead and Newcastle.
You will have a good understanding of the VCSE sector, particularly small to medium-sized organisations, as well as experience of delivering training and facilitating groups and networks. Your attitude, enthusiasm and work ethic are as important to us as experience, and training will be provided where necessary.
This is a great opportunity to help our local VCSE sector become more resilient and to adapt to the changing needs of society because of the cost-of-living crisis, as well as professionally develop your skills, knowledge and experience.
