We are committed to delivering high standards of person – centred care in our busy and Modern Home, we provide choices and independence ensuring our Residents feel safe and supported in their home. We are looking for Dynamic and Caring, Care Assistants, to provide personal care and support to residents as directed by senior staff. To maintain a clean, fresh and homely environment, providing person centred care for individuals and groups of residents consistent with their needs through the provision of a range of duties including personal care and meaningful activities. To support residents throughout the day to maintain their independence, assist and support them as required. To engage and listen to Residents preferences in how they would like to be cared for. Your role will include responding to enquiries from a wide range of people, including families and health professionals. To undertake this role effectively you must be able to demonstrate excellent communication, problem solving and people skills. We are looking for an organised individual with a positive, can-do approach and be able to work well under pressure with Senior Supports. Experience in working in a social care environment is essential, possession of a SVQ 2 or equivalent is desirable, however successful applicants who do not hold this qualification must demonstrate a willingness to work towards achieving this within a reasonable timescale. Requirements This post is considered as Regulated Work with Adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007 and as such membership with the PVG scheme is essential. Preferred applicants will be required to become members of the relevant PVG scheme, or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer being made by West Dunbartonshire Council.
