Our client, has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Facilities Manager to join their organisation on a permanent basis. The ideal candidate will have a back ground in a similar position and strong knowledge of SFG20 standards. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring repair and maintenance activities are conducted to a safe, timely and professional standard, and larger scale, one off, non-routine project work scopes are successfully budgeted, planned and executed. Managing a small technical/operational team and overseeing external contractor delivery, the post holder will provide technical subject matter expertise ensuring legislative compliance is maintained across the UK property portfolio. Key Responsibilities will include: Ensure compliance of the property portfolio and infrastructure with all relevant statutory obligations, specifically responsible for extracting requirements from relevant sources, defining application to company portfolio and ensuring timebound actions are captured and executed. Responsible for defining scopes of work and managing external contractors incorporating and referencing applicable standards, to enable contract implementation and coverage. Project managing the delivery of larger scale, one off, non-routine work scopes to defined budgets and timelines. Engaging with SCM team to ensure procure-to-pay GOP followed around tendering and selection, then co-ordinating associated supplier execution, ensuring projects completed to a satisfactory standard and in accordance with all HSE requirements. Engaging with architects and quantity surveyors as appropriate for scopes of greater complexity. Ensures documented and transparent up-dates and communication provided to internal stakeholders, and up-dates captured in CAFM system. Providing technical oversight and guidance across all aspects of the function, including shaping and championing the CAFM system Managing the team of technicians to ensure safe, quality provision of repair, maintenance and shoring services inline with allocated jobs. Create, maintain, regularly review and present to internal stakeholders a live 5 year CAPEX lookahead picture per site of non-routine, CAPEX work scopes allowing appropriate financial planning and to ensure the long-term integrity, environmental efficiency and cost stability of facilities. Ensure Health & Safety compliance, both in terms of job execution by technicians and suppliers as well as with legislative testing/inspection regimes, through being a visibly engaged HSE leader. Act as a focal point for out-of-hours assistance, emergency responses Qualifications & Experience: Experienced Facilities Manager, working in accordance with SFG20 guidelines Technical Building Services experience, with knowledge of building codes, safety regulations and industry best practices H&S Workplace Legislation Project Management Awareness and understanding of Statutory Compliance requirements Royal Intuition of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) (Desirable) Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) (Desirable)
