Manton 110:
A major picking depot in Worksop, employing more than 200 colleagues and operating a fleet of more than 60 vehicles. The depot serves major convenience retailers in the region.
What you will be doing
We have an exciting opportunity for a Transport Team Leader to join our team based at our Worksop Depot. Working 5 days out of 6 (Saturday is a permanent day off) from 14:00 to 22:30. This will be paid at a base rate of £13.80 per hour, with a Sunday premium of £1.15 per hour, and a night premium of £1.15 per hour after 10pm.
You will be part of a small team responsible for overseeing the Greencore delivery network using both HGVs and vans. The operation runs 364 days a year and is a fast-paced depot to start a transport career.
As a Team Leader, you will be responsible for but not limited to:
1. Admin work/data input
2. Interacting with drivers
3. Liaising with customer service and third parties over email and phone
4. Overseeing van routes to ensure smooth delivery
5. Managing the workload of the drivers, ensuring efficient allocation of resources
6. Controlling and managing KPI requirements
7. Being a strong example of safe health and safety practices
8. Overseeing the day-to-day running of the HGVs and vans routes
9. Reporting to Transport Management
10. Covering van routes in case of high absence, requiring a full UK driving license
What we are looking for
1. Experience working within the transport industry is desirable
2. A full UK driving license is required as you may be required to drive when necessary
3. Good attention to detail
4. Self-disciplined and able to work under pressure to ensure deadlines are met
5. Computer literate, including the use of Excel spreadsheets
