As a hands-on QA, this role will be a mixture of QA and Business Analysis. You will be part of the Operations Team, which is focused on quality product development, configuration, implementation, and delivery to customers.
You should expect this to be a flexible and varied role, where you will work closely with the Product Owner, development team, and clients, documenting requirements and tickets in JIRA and Confluence, building acceptance criteria, and hands-on configuration of the systems. You may be needed to assist with some elements of QA as part of this role.
This is a great opportunity to join a busy team, upgrading products, transitioning existing customers to these systems, and onboarding new clients.
Responsibilities:
1. Requirements gathering for proposed/agreed new solutions and configurations of existing solutions.
2. Transforming customer requirements into detailed documented specifications that can be estimated for effort with the delivery team.
3. Raising JIRA tickets to support the required work, including technical specifications.
4. Updating Confluence with supporting documentation.
5. Documenting configuration changes and acceptance criteria.
6. Taking responsibility for making changes to the configuration based on requirements gathered from customers.
7. Coordinating sessions to drive decisions on requirements, effort estimates, and related issues.
8. Ensuring any identified areas of concern/problem in design, functionality, or tech approach are escalated appropriately.
9. Facilitating the business acceptance phase, working closely with the customer to ensure the solution meets agreed requirements.
10. Testing new features against acceptance criteria to ensure they have been met, as well as testing around the acceptance criteria to ensure the feature is robust and fit for purpose.
11. Reviewing test grids that will be used by the formal QA team and ensuring they will satisfy the acceptance criteria.
The successful candidate will be working and interacting daily with a cross-functional team of Technical and Business Subject Matter Experts such as BAs, Business Development Managers, Developers, and QAs.
