An exciting opportunity has arisen to work for Durham County Council based in Seaham. This is a temporary Fostering Social Worker role within the Connected Carers Team.
In this role you will benefit from a competitive hourly rate of up to £32 per hour umbrella, dependent on experience whilst having the opportunity to work in a professional and vibrant environment.
Working as a Fostering Social Worker includes but is not limited to:
* Holding a caseload of Foster Carer's offering supervision and support
* Undertaking Core Assessments under Section 20 of the Children's Act of 1989
* Undertaking Form F Assessments and Viability Assessments
* Attending family proceedings court
* Obtaining Interim Care Orders/Interim Supervision Orders and Special Guardianship Orders
* Producing Child Permanency Reports
* Preparing looked after children review reports
* Searching for emergency placements for vulnerable children referred to social services
* Producing and presenting Annual Review Report of Foster Carers
* Participating in recruitment drives for foster carers
* Participating in preparation group training
* Facilitating support groups for Foster Carers
* Carrying out home visits for monitoring purposes/ to promote the welfare of and to safeguard the children
