My client is looking to recruit a dynamic and experienced Business Controller to oversee the monthly reporting for its Freight Forwarding business units in Ireland, while also playing a pivotal role in the expansion of this division within the region. In this role, you will collaborate closely with our Operations teams-key stakeholders in ensuring operational efficiency and accuracy. Your primary focus will be identifying and resolving challenges, while ensuring seamless financial performance across the board. We are looking for a professional with a strong background in financial control, a recognized accounting qualification, and advanced Excel skills.

Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday)

Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare monthly business unit reports, ensuring accuracy and clarity.
* Work closely with the Consolidation and Financial Accounting teams to guarantee timely and precise reporting.
* Conduct in-depth analysis of budget variances and provide actionable insights for forecasting.
* Prepare and analyze monthly KPIs, evaluating performance changes and trends.
* Collaborate with Business Unit Managers to review performance, drive improvements, and implement corrective actions as needed.
* Develop the annual budget and forecasts for individual business units.
* Assist in year-end statutory reporting processes.
* Support the establishment of new business units, specifically related to financial reporting requirements.
About You:
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree or a professional qualification in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience:
* A minimum of 3 years of experience in an operationally focused finance role.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
* Experience with Oracle is a plus (not essential).
* Familiarity with IFRS and local GAAP reporting standards is advantageous (not essential).
* Experience in the Freight Forwarding industry is a plus, but not required.

* Excellent multitasking and prioritization skills, with a keen focus on meeting reporting deadlines.
* Comfortable communicating with diverse stakeholders across different regions and roles.

* Strong verbal and written communication skills in English (knowledge of an additional language is a plus).
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with advanced Excel skills (knowledge of BPC add-on is an advantage).
