Job summary NHS England is launching a national Lung Cancer Screening Programme (previously named Targeted Lung Health Checks) to improve early lung cancer detection in areas with high prevalence. This programme invites at-risk patients for a Lung Health Check (LHC) risk assessment, with higher-risk individuals offered a low-dose CT scan. The primary goal is to enhance early-stage diagnosis and improve survival rates. TIC Health is proud to be delivering the Lung Cancer Screening Programme across Norfolk and Waveney in partnership with the NHS, beginning early next year. In this key role, you will contribute directly to delivering a high-quality, patient-focused service. This includes conducting effective Lung Health Check (LHC) risk assessments to support patients throughout the screening process. LHCs will be conducted on mobile clinics based in various community locations within Norfolk and Waveney. These risk assessments identify high-risk patients who may need a low-dose CT scan, with the programme aiming to diagnose one case of lung cancer each day of screening. This role also involves supporting patients and making referrals for CT scans as needed. Join TIC Health at an exciting time, as we expand our lung cancer screening programmes across England, positively impacting lives through early detection. Main duties of the job This role is essential to delivering a high-quality, effective lung cancer screening programme aimed at early diagnosis of lung cancer and other lung diseases. Educating patients and carers on health promotion, offering brief smoking cessation advice, and referring to local services as needed. If required, attain and maintain ARTP accreditation to provide micro-spirometry. Supporting team members and upholding high standards of patient care. Providing culturally sensitive care that meets the diverse needs of patients and families. Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure a seamless patient care pathway.
