Do you care about caring for people and want to make a difference in your local community? A new and challenging role with Sense Scotland could be what you are looking for.
Our friendly, established teams in Ellon and Cruden Bay are looking for like-minded dedicated individuals to join them on a full or part time basis.
As a Support Practitioner with Sense Scotland, you will work directly with adults who have a variety of complex needs and support them with all aspects of their life, including developing their life skills such as communication, social skills and encouraging independence.
Each person we support have their own tenancy and this means you will work with people within their own homes supporting them with their personal care such as bathing and toileting, medication administration, meal preparation, inspiring a healthy life style, and household tasks such as cleaning and laundry.
You will encourage the involvement of activities such as meeting friends, taking part in social gatherings, long drives, walks and swimming, fly cups and picnics, and when the weather is not so good arts and crafts, indoor games or pamper sessions at home.
Most of the people we support have their own cars which you would use to take them to where they need to be. For this you would need to hold a UK driving licence and be licenced to drive a manual car. Not a driver, that’s ok we work around public transport too.
The households are busy and full of joy and fun. There’s lots going on and no two days will ever be the same giving you the opportunity to learn, develop and grow as a Support Practitioner. Our onsite managers and supervisors are there to support you every step of the way and with continuous training and support from our Learning and Development department and your peers you will soon feel part of the team and wonder why you waited so long to make the move.
