About us
Ascot House Intermediate Care Unit supports Patients with therapy rehab goals within the 24-hour setting. We provide support with personal care, medications and therapy plans for people who have experienced recent illness or injury. Our focus is to support our Patients to regain their confidence and independence. Patients are given the time and space they need to progress with their goals to enable them to return home.
The team consists of 68 Support Workers, Assistant Practitioner, 4 Senior Support Workers and 4 Deputy Managers the Registered Manager. We work as a multi-disciplinary team working alongside Nurse, Doctor’s, Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapy and Social Workers this gives the service user a holistic assessment of their needs.
We currently have an exciting vacancies within our team to enable us to continue to meet the high standard we expect to enable us to keep the service users safe from infection. We are also very proud that our domestic team maintain such high standards. Are latest infection control audit we score 100%.

About the Role
As Domestic Assistant, you’ll be responsible for supporting the team to clean and maintain the environment to a high standard meeting the key infection control audits. You will clean communal areas, bedroom, bathrooms and office areas. You will be shown how we deep clean areas ready for admissions. This is a role where you will have contact with service users who are undergoing a social care assessment and may have dementia so it is important that you have some key values such as: kind, caring and love to smile as this makes a big difference to the people you will talk to and meet. We also support service users who are here for rehab and again they may enjoy a chat with you as you are helping maintain their space. It is important to be professional and have the ability to report safeguarding concerns.
You will need awareness of COSHH requirements, risk assessments, policies and procedures.
