Job overview
* Working for NHS Northamptonshire Integrated Care Board as part of the AA Age Continuing Care team to coordinate and deliver Personal Health Budgets to adults and children.
* Responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payment of direct payments and managing reviewing and monitoring arrangements.
* Developing and delivering accurate and open communications to partner organisations, other professionals and individual families and patients.
* Researching and drafting correspondence and ensuring the management of specific tasks, lead reporting and analysis with regards to Personal Health Budgets.

Main duties of the job
* To support the delivery of Personal Health Budgets to both adults and children through ensuring accurate and timely payment of direct payments and supporting monitoring arrangements.
* Support any provider relationships connected with the delivery of PHB, including training and coaching on process and understanding PHBs, where required.
* Provide up-to-date advice regarding PHB process to clinicians and customers.
* To maintain an accurate database of payments required to obtain the appropriate financial agreement for payment, ensuring that the ICB standing financial instructions are adhered to.
* To produce and maintain processes and policy to deliver PHB.

The successful applicant will be a part of the ICB PHB and Continuing Care team working with clinicians and administrative staff to support patients and families to have a greater degree of choice and control over the care that they receive in their homes.
Detailed job description and main responsibilities
* To support the delivery of Personal Health Budgets to both adults and children through ensuring accurate and timely payment of direct payments and supporting monitoring arrangements.
* Ensure accurate and open communication and co-ordination with a range of organisations and individuals researching and drafting correspondence and information.
* To act as the first point of contact for queries from stakeholders including members of the public and PHB holders where required.
* Support any provider relationships connected with the delivery of PHB, including training and coaching on process and understanding PHBs, where required.
* To maintain an accurate database of payments required to obtain the appropriate financial agreement for payment, ensuring that the CCG standing financial instructions are adhered to.
* Maintain up-to-date information for distribution regarding any update re PHB process, eligibility, policy or regulations.
* Communicate with stakeholders regarding changes in process, legislation and/or guidance.
* Produce public-facing information.
Person specification
Education / Training / Qualifications
* Educated to degree level in relevant subject or equivalent level of experience of working at a similar level in specialist area.
Experience
* Experience in communications and stakeholder management.
* Previous experience in similar role in public sector.
Knowledge
* A good understanding of the health and social care environment and roles and responsibilities within it.

Please note, there is a requirement for all positions at Bands 8b and above to be part of an On Call rota.
All new entrants to the ICB for a permanent position will be subject to a 6 month probationary period. For new entrants appointed on a fixed-term basis, the probationary period is between 1 and 6 months.
