Post No. POSN004147 - Pest Control Team Leader We are pleased to advertise the position of Pest Control Team Leader within Environment and Public Protection Services. The Pest Control Team Leader will lead the new Pest Control Service within the Animal Health Team on behalf of the Council and clients ensuring that the service is high performing and meets all relevant legal requirements. To provide expert, professional advice and resolve problems as and when they arise in respect of the Pest Control Service and lead the delivery of an efficient and effective Pest Control Service To attend site and carry out assessments and treatments and manage and deliver the pest control enforcement functions. The authority is looking for someone with a positive and can-do attitude, with a proven track record in pest control and leadership roles. You should have the equivalent of the Royal Society for Public Health Certificate in Pest Management. You should be enthusiastic, and confident and have extensive knowledge of the relevant pest control techniques and enforcement legislation and frameworks, statutory duties, codes and practices, health and safety, knowledge of local government services and where knowledge gaps exist, an appetite for learning and personal development. You should be self-motivated, with an organised approach to your work. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and appreciate the importance of customer care.
