Provide assistance to Clinicians within the Breast Unit, by performing various tasks primarily within the Breast Imaging team. Providing high standards of patient care for both screening and symptomatic patients. The role is pivotal in supporting Radiologists, Breast Surgeons, Radiographic team, Clerical staff and the Breast Care Nurses.

The post holder will:
• Prepare nursing trolleys for interventional procedures.
• Ensure timely transfers of patients to or from the ward or waiting areas as required.
• Assisting patients when necessary
• Check and provide relevant information about their procedures and aftercare needs.
• Assist Radiologist or Interventional Practitioners during procedures, including waiting with the patient whilst they are out of the room, being able to call for the appropriate skilled help should the need arise.
• Assist with the maintenance of a safe care environment, including the preparation of rooms, cleaning of rooms and equipment with reference to infection control to establish a safe working environment for patients, visitors and staff.
• Manage symptomatic clinics as part of the clinical support team.
General Duties
• Keep the department stocked with appropriate consumables.
• Undertake basic pharmacy and departmental ad-hoc ordering.
• Supervise the waiting areas, assisting in the daily cleaning and tidiness.
Clinical- Assisting during ultrasound and interventional procedures.
