We are looking for adaptable, reliable and hardworking individuals to join our great team. The Evening and Overnight District nursing service (ENDNS) is part of the Integrated Community teams, out of hours community nursing provision. The role of the health care assistant is to work alongside the registered nurse for the service, visiting community nursing patients, for unplanned priority visits in the out of hours period. The service currently operates with three twilight teams and two-night teams, to cover priority unscheduled visits to patients from 7pm until 8am. The healthcare assistant will work night shifts (10pm until 8am) We have posts available which those shift patterns can be discussed at interview. Main duties of the job The main duties of the role include driving, route planning, organisation of equipment /supplies and being chaperone to the registered nurse. The healthcare assistant will work alongside the registered nurse to provide support for patients as directed, along with manual handling tasks and personal care. The role requires long periods of driving, to deliver care to patients in their own homes, throughout the county.
