Band 5 Registered Nurse, Outpatients
25 hours per week
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Out Patients Head and Neck Team at CIC. The RGN will undertake mentoring of students and supervision of Band 3 HCA's. Responsibilities include:
1. Running the varying specialty clinics in ENT and Oral Surgery.
2. Assisting with the MOS sessions.
3. Recovery of sedated patients.
4. Correct setup and closing down of the varying consultant clinics.
5. Cleaning and handling of surgical instruments and scopes as per Trust policy.
6. Knowledge of the surgical trays and identification of instruments.
7. Assisting with Emergency walk-in patients/ Consultant and Nurse Led clinics.
The successful candidate needs to be flexible in working pattern and adhere to the Trust Policy and procedures at all times.
The Trust will provide a twelve-month preceptorship period for all newly registered healthcare professionals. Healthcare Professionals returning to practice, moving into new roles, or changing clinical environments may access an agreed preceptorship period.
