Do you enjoy working with children? Do you have the skills to support their learning and development? Have you got a 'can-do' approach and outlook? At Newhall Primary Academy and Nursery, we are looking for an Early Years Practitioner/Nursery Nurse who will work as part of our support staff team, across our Early Years provision, to support children in their learning and development, including those children with Special Educational Needs and for whom English may be an additional language.

Working hours: 37 hrs per week, Monday - Friday
Working weeks: All year around, 25 days of paid holiday (plus Bank holiday)
Salary: NJC England & Wales Scp 5-6 £24,790 - £25,183 FTE + Outer Fringe Allowance £709 per annum
What we're looking for:
We welcome applications from candidates with experience from educational or other relevant childcare backgrounds. The successful candidate will be expected to hold (or be working towards) a minimum of a full and relevant Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education in line with DfE guidelines on ratios across the provision. We are looking for an individual who is able to promote the physical, emotional, intellectual and social development of every child within our nursery.
Duties include:
- To provide a high standard of physical, emotional, social and intellectual care for children placed in the setting
- To work as part of a team, providing an enabling environment in which all individual children can play, develop and learn
- To build and maintain strong partnerships, working with parents to ensure their child's/children's needs are met.

Information about the School
Newhall is a new, 2-form, state of the art academy and nursery on the Newhall development in Harlow. The school has been built to accommodate 420 primary children (Reception to Year 6) and 56 nursery children (6 months to 4 years).
Our school and nursery are situated on vast grounds, incorporating sports fields, games courts and play areas. The main building itself offers a fully equipped curriculum kitchen for pupil use, a beautiful library, outbreak areas for interventions, a music and drama room and very well-resourced nursery rooms and primary classrooms.
All our staff have an excellent work ethic and deliver high quality learning opportunities for our polite and eager-to-learn children. We have a caring, family ethos coupled with high expectations and along with the Reach2 Academy Trust, we are able to provide high quality CPD for all who work here.
