The Role
The Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) Lead will support the leadership team in a fast-paced, client-facing role, overseeing key ESG performance indicators. The role will implement, manage and enhance OASIS Group’s sustainability strategy and ESG initiatives, ensuring ethical and responsible business practices.
The ESG Lead will partner across the business to analyse current practices, identify risks and opportunities and develop strategies and goals for ESG and sustainability. Acting as the key contact for ESG matters, they will drive change through continuous improvement, best practices, and leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Planning and Implementation
* Lead the implementation and delivery of OASIS Group’s ESG strategy and project plan.
* Drive improvements by sharing best practices and implementing new ESG initiatives.
* Develop measurable ESG goals and monitor performance.
* Liaise with Senior Management and conduct industry benchmarking to assess ESG performance.
Legal and Regulatory Compliance
* Identify and implement relevant ESG legislation and standards, consulting with Group Compliance.
* Maintain processes to ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
Operations and Project Management
* Integrate sustainable practices across business activities.
* Schedule and document ESG committee meetings.
* Manage ESG data collection, ensuring accuracy for reporting and decision-making.
* Support net zero planning and ESG action plans in collaboration with internal teams.
Stakeholder Engagement and Communication
* Collaborate with clients, suppliers and regulators to promote ESG initiatives.
* Partner with Procurement and Commercial teams to align with the ESG strategy.
* Develop training and resources to enhance awareness of ESG practices across the Group.
* Work with Communications to share ESG initiatives and achievements.
* Represent OASIS at conferences and professional bodies.
Performance Monitoring and Reporting
* Track and report on ESG metrics and KPIs.
* Oversee Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions data and reporting.
* Implement ISO 50001 Energy Management System and liaise with certifying bodies.
* Collaborate with the CFO to publish annual CSRD reports.
Continuous Improvement and Innovation
* Stay informed on sustainability trends and legislative changes.
* Foster a culture of continuous improvement in ESG practices.
Candidate Requirements
* Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Sustainability, or related field (preferred).
* Professional certifications in ESG or Sustainability (e.g., LEED AP, ISO 14001, CSRD) are desirable.
* Proven experience in ESG risks, strategy, and corporate reporting.
* Knowledge of sustainability legislation, energy efficiency, renewable energy, and resource efficiency.
* Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
* Familiarity with ESG ratings (e.g., SBTi) and reporting frameworks (e.g., CSRD, CDP).
Desired:
* Experience in the information and records management industry.
* Knowledge of corporate governance and project management tools.
