SEN Primary Teaching Assistants
Smile Education are currently recruiting on behalf of a group of primary schools, all in the Melton Mowbray area and surrounding areas, who require additional support in their primary SEND department. The school is keen to meet Teaching Assistants/LSAs to work with their SEN/SEMH pupils in Key Stage 1 and 2 as well as EYFS. These positions will start ASAP and will run for the academic year. I am interested in candidates that can work a minimum of two days a week but welcome candidates that can work more.
* SEN Teaching Assistants
* Primary schools in Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire
* £80-100 per day
* Key Stage 1 & 2 pupils
* On-going work
* NVQ Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant Qualification or a degree in Psychology or Special Educational Needs would be ideal but not essential.
My client primary schools are keen to meet caring, committed, and enthusiastic teaching assistants who are interested in supporting pupils with special needs. These community primary schools are driven by providing an inclusive education to all pupils.
The school would love to meet any Teaching Assistants that have practical and theoretical knowledge of SEND, especially those with an interest in Autism. They are looking for the recruited teaching assistant to work on a part-time basis, but at times there are longer-term full-time roles in order that they establish a good working bond with the pupils they support.
If you’re a psychology graduate looking to gain a few years’ experience en-route to becoming an Educational Psychologist, this could be the perfect school for you.
I am looking for those candidates that, ideally, have worked in either primary settings or early years settings previously.
If this SEN/SEMH Teaching Assistant position in Melton Mowbray primary schools is of interest and you have the required skills, qualifications, and motivation, then please apply online or call Patrick at Smile Education for more details – 0116 507 1692 - patrick@smile-education.co.uk.
We are committed to safeguarding children. Each applicant will be expected to undertake compliance checks including Prohibited list, Barred list, DBS, and Qualifications.
